Yesterday my photographer friend Resse Bolton took some wonderful photos for me.
I enjoyed chatting with Reese about the direction his work is taking. I always find myself fascinated with work related to the human figure, though I have never desired to make it the subject of
my own work. The human body is a very complex and challenging subject, but can yield some breath-taking works of art... David(Michelangelo), and my favorite figurative Sculptor,
Jason deClaires Taylor http://www.underwatersculpture.com/
I am very excited to see the new additions to his current series called Body Doubles.
Reese describes on his site,
"There are many themes that run through my work, which deals with the human figure. I chose to work with the figure for the fact of the diversity that is offered by the human body. One of the themes that appear in my work is that of identity in the form of how you perceive a person based on the factors of their physical appearance, be that the way they are dressed, present themselves, or the body art that they have.".
Be sure to check out Resse Bolton's photography work :)
